Cannabis

Cannabis has been used throughout history for spiritual and even magical purposes. What modern authorities have declaimed as an evil scourge, and what most of us consider a recreational substance, has served as the sacrament in dozens of traditions. The greatest occultists of recent history often hailed the herb as a secret key to making magick work. The mystics of the world have used marijuana to open the doors of the soul.   A number of the “major” tantras within the Vajrayana tradition specifically mention entheogens (datura and/or cannabis) and their use.

Plenty of people on this board use psychedelics, Entheogens, and varying planet medicines  as a tool to learn valuable psychological insights about themselves, impart metaphysical revelations about the nature of reality, or explore visionary states and other spiritual dimensions.  Regardless of whether or not you personally have experienced or even believe in these effects, it is safe to say that such  Entheogens as  Cannabis,  LSD, magic mushrooms, and ayahuasca assuredly have the potential to do so for some people–many feel that the rational and moderate use of these can provide beneficial and wholesome changes to one’s outlook on life, and perhaps even serve as a fresh reboot or psychedelic defrag to one’s mind.  Others see these as ways to communicate with the plant or fungii, akin to McKenna’s philosophy, and yet others see these as Castaneda-style allies to be used in pursuit of one’s spiritual path.  Mystical transcendence is also a common use of these entheogens, or literally getting to know the God within.
I’ve noticed that when I  have used Cannabis  as a spiritual Ally, the meditative and entheogenic aspects of the plant  are incredibly powerful. For me the vapor of the Ganja is an instant way to connect to my Higher Self- as well as the amazing  creativity it unleashes if used only in small amounts medicinally.  This  Sacred Plant Medicine when used as an Ally  opens the  ability to see  deeply into the ‘InnerWorld’ giving broad  perspectives of  the Meta-Self within  –it’s as if it forges a stronger link between the  subconscious and conscious mind.  This is for me a great tool and Sacrament.

What have your experiences been like?  Do you use cannabis as a spiritual sacrament or Sacred tool?

Cannabis has served as a tool for spiritual awakening/enlightenment for me. Not the only one and indeed not the most important it definitely has played a positive role and I will continue to use it until it proves otherwise as it has only brought good things to me thus far.
